HAIR REMOVAL: Unwanted body hair can now
be gently removed with state of the art lasers. By using
low-energy pulses, large and small areas of the body can be
treated producing long-lasting results. The laser energy passes
through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the follicle,
slowing the growing capacity of the hair. Multiple treatments are
required since hair follicles enter their growth cycle at
different times. With our newest laser technique, hair can be
removed without damaging the surrounding skin, leaving your skin
feeling softer and smoother. Several factors play a role in hair
growth and the number of treatments vary from individual to
individual.
LASER VEIN THERAPY : Without the risk of a surgical procedure, laser treatments can treat unwanted spider and varicose veins safely and effectively. Light energy, in precise dosages, is delivered from a laser into each vein in a series of short pulses. The energy is absorbed by the blood vessels, causing the vein to collapse and eventually shrink to become less noticeable. Treatment sessions depend on the size, color, and depth of vein and may be scheduled in three to four week intervals. Following your treatment, you may need to wear support hose and refrain from strenuous activity for a few days, but most people resume normal activity within a few days of treatment.GLYCOLIC ACID THERAPY: Glycolic acid comes in varying strengths. At lower strengths it is used as an exfoliant and at higher strengths it is used as a mild peel. As an exfoliate, it softens and loosens the dry, dead skin cells that form a barrier layer on the skin surface. This allows the skin to shed the dead cells. The process uncovers new skin cells to reveal a smoother, moister and fresher skin surface. LASER SKIN RESURFACING: A lifetime of exposure to the sun, pollution, stress, alcohol, and smoke all weaken our skin’s natural support structure. Fine lines and wrinkles appear and we lose our youthful appearance. The latest advances in laser technology allows us to safely and effectively treat aged and sun-damaged skin. Erbium laser skin resurfacing is a procedure specifically designed to remove superficial and moderately deep lines, wrinkles, acne scarring, and discoloration of the face. The energy from the Erbium laser evaporates the top layers of damaged skin and stimulates the production of collagen, creating a tightening and smoothing of the skin. Following the procedure, patients are able to return to their normal activities with 2-3 days.COSMETIC MOLES AND SKIN TAGS: Cosmetic moles and unsightly skin tags can be safely and easily removed in our office, using a radio-frequency procedure. Scarring and hyperpigmentation of the skin is greatly reduced.
